The 2022 BMW 2 Series was completely redesigned — which models are available in Canada and at what prices?
The all-new G42 generation of the 2022 BMW 2 Series Coupe is entirely new, built on a rear-wheel-drive architecture (with xDrive all-wheel drive as an option). Two primary versions are available in Canada: the 230i xDrive Coupe with a 2.0L turbo producing 255 hp, starting at approximately $41,500 CAD, and the M240i xDrive Coupe with the straight-six 3.0L turbo at 382 hp, starting at $54,900 CAD. The Gran Coupe (four-door) continues in its front-wheel-drive F44 generation as an entry-level option. The true 2 Series Coupe G42 remains rear-wheel or all-wheel drive — a rarity in the segment at this price point. The standalone M2 on pure rear-wheel drive was scheduled for later in the model cycle.
