The 2026 Sorento offers three powertrains across the Canadian lineup: a 2.5-litre naturally aspirated four-cylinder at 191 horsepower, a 2.5-litre turbocharged four-cylinder at 281 horsepower, and a 1.6-litre turbocharged four-cylinder plug-in hybrid producing a combined 261 horsepower with approximately 51 km of electric range. Seven-passenger seating is available on EX and above. Kia's HTRAC all-wheel drive on the turbo and PHEV variants uses a rear torque-coupling that actively distributes up to 50 percent of drive torque rearward.
