Does the 2022 Bronco fix the removable roof seal problems that were widely reported on the 2021?
Ford deployed a partial roof seal update on the 2022 Bronco mid-model-year, with units produced after January 2022 benefiting from a revised perimeter seal and an improved locking mechanism on the aluminum roof panels. However, early 2022 units produced in autumn 2021 still share the same problematic components as the 2021. For a used purchase, ask for the build month and year (visible on the driver door jamb sticker) — 2022 Broncos built after March 2022 show a tangible improvement. The problem is not fully resolved on this model year; 2023 and later models show significantly better reliability in this regard.
