The 2022 Audi S3 introduces the third-generation compact sport sedan to Canada in a four-door body with an entirely revised drivetrain. The turbocharged 2.0-litre TFSI produces 306 horsepower and 295 lb-ft of torque, delivered to all four wheels through a seven-speed S tronic dual-clutch gearbox and a quattro system with an electronically controlled multi-plate clutch. The 0–100 km/h sprint is quoted at 4.8 seconds. The new MQB EVO platform lowers the centre of gravity and improves torsional rigidity by 10 percent over the previous generation. Front MacPherson strut and rear multi-link geometry is tuned to balance sport performance with daily usability. The cabin receives the 10.25-inch Virtual Cockpit Plus and an 8.8-inch MMI touch display. Unlike the RS 3, the S3 does not offer magnetic ride or carbon-ceramic brake options. Inspect the steering rack tie rod ends and the quattro clutch pack on any example that has seen regular track or autocross use.
