What is new about the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee compared to the previous generation?
The 2022 Grand Cherokee (WL generation) is a complete platform redesign, replacing the WK2 generation that had been in production since 2011. Key changes include: a new high-strength steel frame with aluminum elements, an all-new front independent multi-link suspension (replacing the solid front axle) for improved on-road ride and handling, and a fully redesigned interior featuring stacked dual screens (10.1-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen plus an optional 10.25-inch front-passenger screen). Canadian powertrain options were the 3.6L Pentastar V6 (293 hp), 5.7L Hemi V8 (357 hp), and the 4xe plug-in hybrid. The Uconnect 5 interface integrates Amazon Alexa, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The 2022 Grand Cherokee (two-row) started around $46,000 for the Laredo and reached approximately $78,000 for the Summit Reserve in Canada.
