What improvements does the 2026 Taycan feature after the major second-generation update?
The 2026 Taycan is the second full model year of the second generation (2024–present), which brought significant gains: a 105 kWh Performance Plus battery, range up to 678 km WLTP in rear-wheel drive form, and DC charging capacity raised to 320 kW. For 2026, Porsche refines the battery management software via a new OTA update that reduces capacity degradation under intensive repeated fast-charging use. The Taycan Cross Turismo receives upgraded air spring dampers for improved ride quality on deteriorated roads. The Taycan Turbo GT (1,093 hp) is available to order for 2026 as a limited hypersport variant. GPS-based predictive charge mode is now enabled by default across all 2026 Taycans.
