Lexus NX 2022

The 2022 Lexus NX is a complete second-generation redesign on the TNGA-K platform. The renamed lineup in Canada runs: NX 250 (2.5L naturally aspirated four at 203 hp, FWD or AWD), NX 350 (2.4L turbo at 275 hp, AWD), NX 350h (2.5L hybrid at 240 hp combined, AWD), and the NX 450h+ — Canada's first Lexus plug-in hybrid, with a 18.1 kWh battery delivering 65 km of EV range at 302 hp combined. The interior receives a complete overhaul replacing the trackpad with a standard touchscreen: 9.8-inch on NX 250 and 14-inch on NX 350 and above. Rear seat space increases meaningfully, and cargo volume grows to 580 litres. Lexus Safety System+ 3.0 is standard. The NX 450h+ qualifies for the federal iZEV incentive as a PHEV. F Sport and F Sport Performance grades offer chassis tuning, unique interior colour, and visual differentiation. The 2022 redesign addresses nearly every criticism levelled at the outgoing generation.

01

What are the prices and available trims for the 2022 Lexus NX lineup in Canada?

The 2022 Lexus NX marks the debut of the second generation, comprehensively redesigned on the new TNGA-K platform. Four powertrain configurations are available in Canada: the NX 250 AWD (2.5L naturally aspirated, 203 hp) from approximately $47,050; the NX 350 AWD (2.4L turbocharged, 275 hp) from approximately $52,600; the NX 350h AWD (self-charging hybrid, 239 hp) from approximately $50,900; and the NX 450h+ AWD (plug-in hybrid, 309 hp) from approximately $65,500. Available trim levels include Standard, Premium, Luxury, Ultra Luxury, F Sport Series 1, and F Sport Series 2 depending on the powertrain. The best-equipped NX 450h+ Ultra Luxury could exceed $80,000 with options. The entire 2022 NX lineup features the new multimedia system with a 14-inch touchscreen (or 9.8-inch on some trims), Lexus Safety System+ 2.5 as standard, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, sliding and reclining rear seats, and a fully redesigned driver interface. The NX is one of the best-selling luxury compact SUVs in Canada, competing directly with the BMW X3, Mercedes-Benz GLC, and Audi Q5.

02

Which version of the 2022 Lexus NX offers the best value for a Canadian buyer?

For the majority of Canadian buyers, the 2022 Lexus NX 350h AWD in Premium trim represents the strongest value proposition in the lineup. At approximately $55,000 to $57,000 with Premium trim options, it combines 239 hp hybrid output, 6.1 L/100 km fuel economy (saving $800 to $1,000 annually in fuel versus the NX 350), the large 14-inch touchscreen, heated and ventilated front seats, hands-free power liftgate, and keyless entry. For buyers with a tighter budget, the NX 250 AWD Standard ($47,050) remains a sensible choice with its 203 hp sufficient for everyday driving and access to nearly all of the redesigned second-generation platform's features. The NX 350 AWD is recommended for drivers who tow or value brisk acceleration. The NX 450h+ is worthwhile only if you have reliable home charging access and primarily make short daily trips. The resale value of NX hybrid models has historically run approximately 3 to 5 percent higher than their gasoline counterparts on the Canadian used vehicle market, according to Canadian wholesale auction data — reinforcing the long-term financial case for the hybrid.

03

Is the 2022 Lexus NX available on competitive lease terms in Canada and what are typical parameters?

The 2022 Lexus NX was frequently offered on competitive lease terms through Lexus Financial Services Canada, with conditions varying by season and region. As a representative example for a 2022 NX 350h AWD Premium at approximately $57,000: with a $4,000 down payment, a 48-month lease at 20,000 km per year, a residual value of approximately 53 percent, and a money factor equivalent to approximately 4.49 percent APR, monthly lease payments before taxes would fall in the range of approximately $750 to $820. In Quebec, HST of 14.975 percent applied to each lease payment brings the monthly obligation to approximately $862 to $943. Leasing offers the flexibility of returning the vehicle at term and transitioning to the next generation — particularly relevant for a brand-new model like the 2022 NX where strong used-market demand typically supports solid residual values. Lexus Financial Services Canada excess mileage charges run approximately $0.15 to $0.20 per km — negotiate the annual mileage cap realistically at signing to avoid end-of-term charges. Compare Lexus Financial Services lease rates against your bank or credit union financing offer, as institutional rates can sometimes be more competitive depending on market conditions.
