Toyota revived the Venza nameplate for 2021 as a hybrid-only mid-size SUV on the TNGA-K platform, sharing its 2.5L four-cylinder Atkinson-cycle hybrid system with the RAV4 Hybrid. Combined output is 219 hp with AWD-e via front and rear electric motors. Fuel consumption is approximately 6.1 L/100 km combined — best-in-class for mid-size non-plug-in SUVs at launch. The Venza differentiates from the RAV4 Hybrid with a lower, more car-like roofline, standard panoramic roof with electrochromic dimming glass on LE and above, and a more driver-focused interior. The standard 8-inch touchscreen with Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 is fitted across all trims; the Limited adds a 12.3-inch display. Cargo volume of 1,004 litres behind the rear seats is slightly less than the RAV4 Hybrid. Canadian trims are LE, XLE, and Limited. The Venza targets buyers upgrading from a Camry or Avalon who prefer SUV height with sedan-like refinement.
