Kia carries the EV9 into 2025 with expanded Canadian trim availability and a new EV9 GT variant featuring 501 hp, dedicated performance damper calibration, and unique exterior styling with a lower front air dam. The 99.8 kWh battery and 800V charging architecture are unchanged across all variants; the GT's higher output reduces range to approximately 400 km, consistent with the performance-efficiency tradeoff in the segment. Standard EV9 trims gain revised second-row seat ventilation as standard on Wind+ and GT-Line. The over-the-air update platform receives an improved battery pre-conditioning algorithm for faster DC fast charge initiation in below-freezing conditions — a practical improvement for Canadian winter operation. The 12.3-inch dual-screen cabin display gains updated navigation with real-time DCFC availability across Kia's partnered charging network. V2L at 3.6 kW is maintained. The EV9 remains one of the few three-row EVs available in Canada with both a genuine adult-accessible third row and 500+ km range in a single configuration.
